    Easter in Germany

    Frohe Ostern! That, if you haven’t guessed, is German for „Happy Easter.“ Easter is huuuuuuge here, starting on Good Friday on through to and including not only Easter Sunday, but also Easter Monday (I am not making this up, it is actually called that.) Plus, most Germans travel during the Easter break (2 weeks off from schools), so Easter is pretty much just as big of a deal as Christmas. That is, of course, except for sending Easter cards, which still hasn’t totally caught on the way we Americans do it.
